OUR COMMITMENT TOWARDS THE SAFE PRACTICE OF SPORT
Unigym Gatineau, in collaboration with Gymnastics Canada and Gymnastics Québec, is committed to providing a safe and inclusive training and competition environment, free from all forms of maltreatment, harassment, and discrimination, for all our participants. Creating this safe environment is a responsibility shared by every member of our gymnastics community.
To support this commitment, Gymnastics Canada and Gymnastics Québec have developed Safe Sport frameworks that guide our efforts toward ensuring the safe practice of sport. Through these frameworks, the federations work together with clubs and the broader gymnastics community to offer a respectful and welcoming environment where participants can find joy in their pursuit of excellence.

POLICY ON PROTECTING INTEGRITY
As part of its mission, Gymnastique Québec is responsible for protecting its members by providing a safe, fair, and trustworthy environment at all levels local, regional, provincial, national, and international.
Accordingly, the Federation does not tolerate any form of abuse, harassment, neglect, or violence—whether physical, psychological, or sexual in any of the programs and activities it delivers or that are delivered by its members in accordance with its regulations. These programs and activities are considered “sanctioned.” The Federation recognizes the importance of taking reasonable measures to prevent, address, and put an end to any form of abuse, harassment, neglect, or violence when such situations are brought to its attention.
This Policy applies to all individuals involved in the (federated) environment, including but not limited to: members, participants, parents of members or participants, volunteers, employees, board members, suppliers, clients, and others. It covers all cases of abuse, harassment, neglect, or violence that may occur in any “sanctioned” activity or program, as well as in any activity other than sport.
The policy is available on the Gym Québec website:
